45. Knowing the Author

Adrian and Austin got to spend some time together this week in Boston when they went to the release tour of Hank Green's books, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. In this episode we discuss how the relationship between the author and the audience works and how knowing the author effects how you read the book. Finally, we talk about writing about personal things and whether or not this is good for creators to do. 44. Justice for Justice

With the recent controversies surrounding Supreme Court justice candidate Brett Kavanaugh, Adrian and Austin discuss how something wrong in a persons past should effect their future. We talk about how there can be forgiveness with appropriate consequences without losing the hope of reconciliation. And finally we look at how there should be different standards for people's actions based on their position and power they hold.

Adrian is back from vacation in Iceland which means that we get to hear all about it. In this episode we talk about being in awe. 42. The Value of YouTube

Is YouTube destroying the hopes and dreams of children. This week Adrian and Austin discuss if striving to become a YouTuber is good or bad. We compare and contrast it to our aspirations when were were growing up to determine if it is better or worse for children today to seek to become world famous vloggers. Finally, we end up talking about value and what give value to society and look at our own lives and this podcast and discuss the value they give.
